You would never know that this beautiful image was taken on the side of a run down building. We started this engagement session at Highland Park located at 1100 East New York Street in Indianapolis. The park features amazing views of downtown, we started this session there and started walking the surrounding area. The first thing we came across was an old cinder block building. It's my job as a wedding photographer to be able to create beautiful images anywhere and so we decided to play with color and light and this is what we created. The couple told me that blue was one of their wedding colors so that was what we used but we could have used any other color. This type of image can be created almost anywhere at any time of day, it was still daylight when we took this photo.
There is something so classic about a silhouette. People in love look like people in love, even when you cannot see the details of their faces. Getting to know my couple and creating images that tell their love stories, that they will cherish forever is the best part of capturing an engagement session.
