While traditionally men would wear dark colored socks with their suits or tuxedos on a wedding day, funky socks for the groom and his groomsman have become a super fun trend in weddings over the last few years. It's a fantastic way to add a non-traditional detail, show off a little bit of personality, and they make great gifts for the male members of the bridal party. They are also a little bit of a secret from the wedding guests unless you choose to show them off.
This groom and his guys showed off their socks at this June wedding at Avon Wedding Barn. They were dressed in blue suits and brown shoes for the wedding, however, when they lifted the legs of the pants there was a party underneath. This group made food the primary focus. The groom wore socks with tacos on them, while the other groomsman sported socks featuring avocados, cheeseburgers, French fries, the last groomsman breaking trend with his American flag socks.
This type of detail photo has become a staple for my couples wearing fun socks on their wedding days. Long after the socks get holes in them or are lost in the dryer they are documented forever through a fun photograph.
