This is the moment the word “fiancée” became real.
After the knee dropped, the tears flowed, and “YES!” echoed off the marble walls inside the Bottleworks Hotel, we stepped outside into the night air for the celebration that every surprise proposal deserves: a champagne pop under the glowing neon sign that reads “HOTEL.”
The newly engaged couple stood on the steps of the Bottleworks Hotel, he shaking the bottle with that mischievous grin, she laughing in anticipation, and then, pop! Bubbles exploded into the air like fireworks, catching the streetlights and falling like confetti around them. The historic Art Deco façade, with its illuminated sign and grand entrance, framed them perfectly, turning a simple toast into a scene straight out of a romantic film.
As your proposal photographer, the champagne pop is always my couple's (second) favorite part of the night. Mine too. That's why I bring the champagne. After the nerves of the proposal melt away and the ring is sparkling on her finger, we head outside (or to a rooftop, or a park, wherever the moment feels right) for engagement portraits that capture the high of “we’re doing this!” Bottleworks Hotel is one of my top spots for this exact reason. The neon sign glows bright, and the surrounding Mass Ave energy adds that urban-Indy vibe couples love. This particular pop happened on a chilly November evening.
At Bottleworks Hotel, the night doesn’t end with the proposal. It starts with champagne flying and two people realizing forever just got a whole lot closer.
Your yes deserves bubbles, and I’ll be there to make sure they sparkle forever.
