This couple was married on the bride's grandma's 86th birthday and she could not think of a better way to celebrate than to be a flower granny in her granddaughter's wedding.
We have seen this fun new tradition in a few weddings over the last couple years. On this wedding day inside the Willow Chapel at Black Iris Estate in Carmel Indiana the couple had traditional younger flower girls lead the way for the flower grannies.
The flower girl tradition dates back to Ancient Rome when the youngest member of the wedding party would lead the way for the bride carrying wheat to bless the coupe with fertility and prosperity. In my personal, humble opinion, it's your wedding day do what you want.
