This couple wanted to have a first look and they wanted their English Bulldog Moe to be able to be a part of it. There is a bridge at the back of the property of the Stone Creek Lodge in Crawfordsville, Indiana where the groom waited for his bride. The coordinaters arranged for the bride to be brought to the bridge via golf cart. The bride walked the length of the bridge to her groom, he turned and saw her in her wedding dress, and they embraced. Moe happily stood by, happy to be wherever the couple was. He even wore a doggy tuxedo to look the part!
This photograph was captured by my second shooter from an angle on the ground and through some trees at the end of the bridge while I shot the image straight on.
One benefit to having a first look is that the couple gets the opportunity to see each other for the first time privately without the eyes of all their firends and family on them. It can also allow for more time in the wedding day timeline to capture those family formals before the ceremony freeing the couple up to get to the party and enjoy cocktail hour.
