With fewer couples choosing to see each other on the wedding day, a favorite new tradition is the private vow book exchange. If you want to write your own vows but don't want to read the words in front of all of your family and friends this is the option for you. This allows you to write your own personal vows or a letter to be delivered for your partner to read before you meet at the end of the aisle. It gives you a way to connect with your spouse and builds anticipation for the moment you will see each other for the first time. The vow book creates a keepsake for you to have beyond the wedding day.
We photographed this moment on a wedding day at the Sycamore at Mallow Run. We photograph both the bride and groom's expressions as you read the vows and up close images like the one you see here. It's all about telling the story of your day.
